The Moment You've All Been Waiting For...Maybe

So I finally got around to taking pictures of our new place and then, after waking up with a massive headache and renewed worries of our long lost video camera, I have now finally taken the time to post these photos. Please remember, our place is still a work in progress. These are "before-ish" photos. Walls are still unpainted (due highly, though not completely, to my inexplicable fear of choosing a color), rooms still undecorated, but progress has been made. Also, I'm no photographer so no judging. Many thanks to all the people who helped us unpack. And a special thanks to my Mom who spent 8 hours or more removing all the wallpaper borders throughout the house. And without further ado...

And last but not least...the patio. A Caribbean lady lived here before us so I think that explains the colors out here.

I would have pictures of our yard etc, but as you can see, I was taking these pictures late at night. I suppose I could go take some now but I'm in my pajamas and can't bear to put clothes on just yet. My head still really hurts. I hope you are all satisfied. Once we get things a little more finished I will take some more photos. Despite having woken up under less than ideal circumstances, it sure feels good to get some blogging done.

Sunday Afternoon Drive

While living in Utah, we usually spent our Sunday afternoons visiting family. Today we realized that since family isn't quite so close we would have to find something else to do. We decided to go on a drive and just see what there was around us. We drove down the MOST beautiful road. It was like driving in a dream. It was lush and woodsy and we found a huge, gorgeous lake and trails running throughout. Butterflies were floating around and it was simply majestic. We couldn't believe how close we live to such incredible beauty. It was rainy today so we didn't get out and walk around but you can be sure that we will be soon. It's amazing what a beautiful world the Lord created for us. On our drive Corey said, "My opinion of this place just went up 10 times." I always feel that way when I see the beauty around us. We even saw a family of deer! Here are some pictures I found online. None of them really do it justice but you will have an idea. Wait 'til the fall leaves arrive!
