Pictures

I used Snapfish to download some pics to my blog because it's WAY faster. Check out my sidebar to see them. They are great...or at least I think so. :)

Some Recent Events Yet Unblogged

These photos are in no particular order so don't be confused...

I'm not promoting Ute "fan-ism".

So that's a little more of us. More to come I'm sure.

Changes

This past month has been a month of changes. We moved to a new, bigger apartment (though it's in the same apartment complex). It's nice to have more space but it's sure taking me a LONG time to get unpacked.

Connor got a new crib and dresser (thanks mom and dad!) and they are SO cute. Connor loves them!

Pictures of both changes coming soon.

Corey decided not to apply to medical school and, instead, changed his masters to a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. He is hoping to be done in 4 years, so that means 4 more years in Utah. It will be nice to be here a bit longer. I have great in-laws and lots of my own family in Utah as well, both immediate and extended. Teresa was happy to hear that, pending her admission to BYU, we will be here for her freshman year. It would be really fun for me to live near my little sissy again. It's been YEARS. And both Kevin and Cory will be at BYU too. So, all in all, Utah ends up being a great place for us right now.

The following video has nothing to do with the changes, but I know that pictures are really all people look at anyway. Enjoy!

My Big Boys

It's been a while since the last update so you've probably missed a few things.

Corey graduated and has already started the master's program at the University of Utah in biomedical engineering. He graduated Cum Laude and we are so proud of him! He has started a new job for his master's with Dr. Ambati and will be quitting work with IHC on June 15th. He is happy for the change.

Connor has started rolling over from his back to his belly and it is oh so adorable! He is a little chatter box now that he has found his voice. And just a few days ago he discovered that he can blow bubbles whenever he wants and would do it all day if he could. He even tries to copy you if you do it. So so cute! So his tongue is now always sticking out of his mouth as he tries to blow bubbles and make noise with his tongue. Either that or his hands are in his mouth as he talks up a storm and feels his tongue moving. But no matter what he is doing, he sure makes a lot of drool. How that is so cute on babies and yet so disgusting on adults I will never understand.

Connor is such a big boy, weighing in at nearly 18 pounds already at only 4 months. He is 26 inches long. That puts him in the 85th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height. Yep, I have a little linebacker for a son. Due to his size, I think, he has been getting up constantly at night to eat. It's like he's starving. So last night we tried giving him some rice cereal. At first he wasn't so sure about it, but we tried it again (on his back this time since he LOVES eating lying flat on his back...weird) and he LOVED it! I couldn't shovel it in fast enough. He ate way more than I expected him to eat and probably would have eaten more if I let him. I wanted to take it easy on the first try. He subsequently slept for 7 hours straight, woke up once to eat, and is currently still sleeping. I'm so glad my baby is able to sleep again. He was just ever so hungry.

I, on the other hand, can no longer sleep like a normal person. I sleep for 4 hours and can't get back to sleep. 4 hours is my limit. So then I am exhausted all day and I have to take a nap, which may only enhance my nighttime sleeping problems. I need to just stick it out today and try to get over my problem like with jet lag. Stay awake. Stay awake. Stay awake. Then I will be SO tired I will sleep through the night. And now that Connor is sleeping so well, I actually WILL sleep through the night without having to get up to feed him every hour and a half.

Plus, today is finally FRIDAY! I love Friday. It's date night and I always have so much fun. Corey will be on-call tonight as a favor for a co-worker but I don't think he will have to go in. Hopefully Corey can help with Connor as I struggle to stay awake...so I can sleep.

Other news: I leave for Texas in just FOUR days!!!! Whoohoo!! I can't wait. It's all I can think about. It's going to be such a blast!

Sorry for the long post. I know most of you won't even read it all. So here are some pics to skip to. At least everyone enjoys the pictures.

Smile Progression

These are kind of old, but the pictures say it all.
